April ushers in many things—spring, sunnier days, warmth and blooms, buds and blossoms. It is the season of renewal and rebirth, both healing and restorative, and always a reminder that newness and life brims around each and every corner. But for anyone in the midst of infertility, it can also be a tough season. The flowers are in bloom, but questions looms about why am one is not able to conceive? It can be a lonely road, but it doesn’t have to be because along with April, there is also Infertility Awareness Week when people are reminded, educated and encouraged to think about their reproductive health. While the season of rebirth may be all around us, it’s a good time to also think about our own ability to procreate. With that spirit in mind, Resolve, the sponsors NIAW (National Infertility Awareness Week), April 21-27th. You can visit their website to learn more about events, resources and tools and read and share stories about infertility at www.infertilityawareness.org. And while April is the month to build awareness, Resolve (the National Infertility Association) is taking that momentum and organizing for Advocacy Day in May (May 15-16) where the infertility community can speak to Congress about their needs and demands. No one dealing with infertility should feel alone and this is the perfect month to reach out, connect and communicate. And we at Hanabusa IVF are always here to answer your infertility questions, connect you with resources and help you create your personal treatment plan.
